Jökullin

Jökullin is the pet name of Snaefelljökull, the glacier volcano in western Iceland that haunts the Icelandic imagination. Cited in the G.I.E.C. report, its summital glacier is melting at an alarming rate. The epicenter of global warming, the volcano only appears when the fog clears. It is this ghostly, fading presence that this project seeks to capture.
