Footsteps on the snow

It was the Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer who inspired this work on the expanse, the white, the infinite transparency of the Lappish landscapes and their counterpart, the night that eats 16 hours of the day. I wanted to give the viewer a sensitive rendering that could suggest an emotion of the cold. It's a question of letting the image's vibratory potential and its power of unreality express themselves. This project is grouped together under the generic title "des pas sur la neige", in homage to Claude Debussy.
